Videoendoscopy of Colonic Early Cancer
نویسنده
چکیده
Since January 1982, 275 early colonic carcinomas undergoing total endoscopic resection were studied. Of this series, 234 lesions showed some adenoma components, whereas the remaining 41 lesions lacked adenoma components. Minute carcinomas measuring 5 mm, 92.3% were discovered by videoendoscopy. This high detection rate was attributed to the growing use of videoendoscope systems and reflects heightened interest on the part of endoscopists in superficial type lesions.

Investigating the Relationship between Red Blood Cell Distribution Width and Early Detection of Colorectal Cancer and Colonic Polyps
Background: Colorectal cancer is a common cancer and has a high rate of mortality and morbidity. This can be reduced by screening tests. Some of the studies have recently referred to Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW) as a marker for early detection of various cancers. The aim of this study was to investigate the RDW and early detection of colorectal cancer and polyp. M...
متن کاملسندرم Lynch -l و گزارش شش مورد بیمار مبتلا
More than two decades ago, Henry T. Lynch reported a hereditary non polyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC) which is seen in some families with dominant mode of inheritance, also know as Lynch Syndrome type I and II. This form to hereditary colorectal cancer has an early age of onset (Less than 45 years) with predominantly proximal colonic involvement (type I) and can also be associated with extrac...
متن کاملThe Role of Narrow Band Imaging in the Detection of Recurrent Laryngeal and Hypopharyngeal Cancer after Curative Radiotherapy
Narrow band imaging is considered a significant improvement in the possibility of detecting early mucosal lesion of the upper aerodigestive tract. Early detection of mucosal neoplastic lesions is of utmost importance for patients survival. There is evidence that, especially in patients previously treated by means of curative radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy, the early detection rate of recurre...
متن کاملEvaluation of Radiosensitive Effect of Tolmetin in Radiotherapy on Human Colonic Carcinoma Cell Line HT-29
Background: Radiotherapy is one of the cancer treatment methods. Although radioresistance and normal tissue toxicity limit the radiation therapy in certain anatomical locations, using some substances can be useful to increase radiosensitivity on cancer cells without cytotoxicity effect on normal cells. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the radiosensitizing effect of tolmetin in radiother...
متن کاملLabel-free monitoring of colonic cancer progression using multiphoton microscopy
Real-time histology or virtual biopsy for the diagnosis of colonic cancer is of great medical significance. In this work, we show that label-free multiphoton imaging is feasible and effective in monitoring colonic cancer progression by providing cellular and subcellular details in fresh, unfixed, unstained colonic specimens. Our results also demonstrate the capability of using tissue quantitati...
